General
Mousing over most art images on the site will pop up a small bar with artwork details. This also freezes the slideshow if it is automated (no buttons). Moving the mouse away will hide the bar and continue any automated scrolling. This works a little differently on the iPad (see below).
Browser Compatibility
The site may not work correctly in Internet Explorer 6. This browser is ten years old and notoriously insecure so you might be well advised to upgrade or move to Firefox.
The iPad
The site is scaled for the iPad and has limited touch capability but this can be tricky and there is one undocumented feature you absolutely need. If there is a scrolling text window within a webpage, firstly there are no clues other than the text ending abruptly. More importantly, you can only scroll down using two finger dragging. A single finger will move the whole page. It is a little tricky because, if your fingers move apart, you will zoom in instead of scrolling. Welcome to life as an early adopter. Examples of this are the Exhibitions, Reviews and Publications pages.
The info bars on the artwork can be popped up by tapping on the image but (at this time) they do not go away. Tap to another image or another page to clear it. Hopefully a fix is in the works.
Any feedback concerning this website, particularly problems, would be very much appreciated.
